PAIN Enters Swedish Album Chart At #6

February 5, 2002

Nothing Remains The Same, the third full-length album from Sweden's PAIN, featuring HYPOCRISY mainman Peter Tagtgren, entered the Swedish Album charts at position #6 as the highest new entry the week of its release. The first single, "Shut Your Mouth" still sits tightly in the top 20 on the Singles chart after two months. Meanwhile, Swedish national television show Voxpop just had a world premiere of the group's new video, for the track "Just Hate Me", which was co-written by mega-producer Max Martin (aka Martin Sandberg—i.e. BRITNEY SPEARS, BACKSTREET BOYS, CELINE DION) and Per Aldeheim (i.e. DEF LEPPARD, LAMBRETTA). In the works for four and a half months, the video reportedly “uses the same technology as George Lucas used for the first Star Wars film. In the video, we find Peter and the band, consisting of robots (check out Reidar with 8 arms...) on an old atomic submarine in the desert and a mad professor who invented the first robot with human emotions”. Sounds interesting…and expensive.
